Cherish: Bike Rack
Cherish is a Class C bike rack and public seating, created for use at light rail stations and high streets around Sydney’s CBD. It was designed with consideration to sustainability, innovation and multifunctionality.
It uses Replas’ Polyrock concrete for the seat which uses a recycled plastic aggregate consisting of 95% post-consumer soft plastic waste with 5% engineered recycled content. The bike lock attachment point is forged out of 316 stainless steel for its excellent durability.
Hidden lighting underneath every Cherish module illuminates the footpath around it during the night to help with navigation and wayfinding. Lighting not only improves visibility but also enhances overall safety.
